Prerequisite: successful completion of the general education communications requirement. HUM 2210 is not a prerequisite but the sequence is strongly recommended. The study of the arts and ideas of various cultures consisting of an integrated, historical and global approach to cultural expressions in the humanities, including architecture, sculpture, painting, music, drama, literature, religion, philosophy, politics, jurisprudence, economics, and film. Covers the expressions that date from the sixteenth century to the contemporary world including European culture, China, Japan, Russia, Africa, and the Americas. Substantial writing component. Fulfills state writing requirement. 3 credit hours. Satisfies the general education requirement.
