Prerequisite: This course is open only to students who have completed 12 or more semester hours with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher. The purpose of this course is to prepare teachers and future teachers as competent computer-based technologists. This course is designed specifically for education majors. Students will learn how to successfully integrate instructional technology tools into their evolving teaching methodology. Based on the study of a wide range of successful technology integration models currently in use throughout the United States, students will cultivate their own sense of the importance of effective instructional technology modeling as a part of their teaching and learning strategies. This course requires a significant amount of time outside the class using a computer. This course fulfills one of the lower division education core prerequisites for teacher education majors.
