Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing Program and BSC2085, BSC2085L, BSC2086, BSC2086L, PSY2012, DEP2004, HUN1201, ENC1101, Choice of one Math: MGF1106, MGF1107, MAC1105 or STA2023 Corequisites: NUR1520C, MCB2004, MCB2004L (Spring and Summer), NUR2450C (Spring only). This course is designed to facilitate the entry of Licensed Practical Nurses into the Associate Degree Nursing Program. All students will demonstrate safe performance of selected nursing procedures included on the Fundamental Skills List. Theoretical components include those not commonly included in the LPN curriculum. Information related to the roles of the Registered Nurse and additional theory related to the Nursing Process will be emphasized. Contact: per semester: 10 hours lecture, 10 hours lab, and 5 hours of clinical. Additional fee.
