Prerequisite: satisfactory completion of College Preparatory English (ENC0020) and college Preparatory Reading (REA0002) or appropriate placement score. This course will examine the major historical events and personalities in English history since 1603. This course will examine the development and evolution of political, legal, and religious institutions and the conflict between monarchy and individual liberty. It will also examine the creation of the British Empire and the influence imperialism had on Britain. Lecture 3 hours.
