Prerequisites: PLA 1003, PLA 1104, PLA 2214, PLA 2203, PLA 2223, BUL 2241, BUL 2242, or permission of program coordinator. This course provides an opportunity for the student to become job ready, interning in an area law office under the guidance of the instructor and law office supervisor. Student will work at least 10 hours per week performing legal assisting duties such as drafting simple pleadings, responding to discovery, digesting depositions, aiding at deposition and trial, legal research, file organization and other legal assisting tasks. Intern meets with instructor one hour per week for pertinent discussion. Contact: 3 hours.
