Fall, Spring, Summer Lab fee will be required. This course is an inquiry into the significance of genes and DNA in our everyday life. The personal, biological, political and sociological implications of our ever-expanding understanding of genetics and heredity are discussed. The course also covers basic biochemical and cellular principles, human organs and their integration into various body systems, DNA, biotechnology, human development, human genetics, and major human diseases.
