Prerequisites: AAE 375. A minimum grade of C+ is required in all art education courses and a minimum grade of C is required in all other major courses. The Praxis II Art: Content Test is required for student teaching. A GPA of 3.00 is required for graduation and teacher certification. Reserved for Art Education majors. Co-requisite: AAE 490 This is the fifth course in the professional art education sequence, and must be taken concurrently with AAE 492. This course is a semester-long student teaching experience reserved for art education seniors. Students will spend half the semester teaching fulltime at the elementary level and the other half at the secondary level. This teaching opportunity focuses on observation, participation and responsible teaching under direct supervision of college supervisors and K-12 cooperating teachers. Field experiences will be arranged by the STEP Office.
