This course provides a survey of the unique needs of children with disabilities and " at-risk" students within theeducational context. An emphasis will be placed on understanding the origin and characteristics of specific disabilities, and development of collaborative intervention strategies that meet the needs of all children. A 20-hour service learning unit in an inclusive educational setting is required. Prerequisite: EDU 104
