Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure - Communication and Literacy Skills Designed for students planning to become teachers and who will be transferring to 4-year institutions. The course will prepare them to take the required Communication and Literacy Skills portion of the state' s MTEL test. The objective of the course is to offer an intensive experience to acquaint students with the types of material and questions that will be on the test, to teach students appropriate strategies, and to provide students with practice exercises and sample questions. Students will have an opportunity to take a sample MTEL test at the end of the course. Materials distributed in class may also be used after the course to review for the actual test. Prerequisite: ENG 102
