Improves students' ability to converse in English on selected topics of current interest. Focuses on increasing an understanding of United States culture and English usage in the United States. Students will participate in extended conversations and discussions, will organize and give oral presentations on a variety of topics, and will hear and outline academic lectures. Prerequisite: C- or above in ESL 140 or Placement Test
