Students will continue to develop strategies for increasing comprehension of reading materials and mastering formal written structures. Emphasis is on paraphrasing and summarizing, recognizing cohesive relationships, writing short essays, and mastering level 4 structures. Students will read and report on adapted and unadapted literature (short story or novel) and complete an introductory research project. Prerequisite: C- or above in ESL 131 or Placement Test 6 class hours
