FLTE 101 - Introduction to Flight

This course is designed to provide students with the basic principles of flight, air traffic control, navigational procedures and regulation. Also provides basic knowledge pertaining to visual fl ight in the national airspace system, principles of navigational equipment, communications, safety of fl ight, aeronautical charts and other publications. Upon completion of the course the students will have acquired suffi cient knowledge to pass the FAA Private Pilot written exam and Proficiency to pass the FAA Private Pilot Practical Flight Test. (Students must meet with a representative of the Ocean Aire Pilot Center to review fl ight instruction policies and procedures, FAA requirements, and fl ight instruction fees prior to registration.) Flight instruction fees vary according to the number of fl ight hours necessary for students to master essential fl ight skills. Students pay fl ight instruction fees directly to the Ocean Aire Pilot Center.
