This course is designed for the student without any previous knowledge of the language and for those wishing to refresh and further develop the four basic skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Progressing from simple vocabulary and sentence structure, the student is encouraged to speak the language in simple conversational patterns. An introduction to German customs, including food and beverages, culture and civilization is a fringe benefi t of the course. Prerequisite: Curiosity and good will.
