Introduces the student to the physical, psychological, socioeconomic, and cultural aspects of aging and their relationship to occupational performance of older adults. The focus is on providing care to individuals experiencing common aging disorders and uses the occupational therapy process of evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and community programming. Issues of wellness and preventive care for the well elderly will also be addressed. 2 credit hours. 24 hours of Level I Fieldwork experience. Prerequisite: OTA 1520. J fall
