Students will focus on assisting clients to reestablish health/wellness. Experience will include care of clients across the lifespan and of diverse cultures who experience disruptions in functional health patterns due to simple/acute health deviations. NUR 1510 concepts related to communication, critical thinking, caring, accountability, and leadership/management are strengthened while higher level skills are introduced. Within a variety of community settings, the learner applies the nursing process to the care of clients experiencing health deviations related to medical/ surgical conditions and in the care of clients encountered in maternal/newborn nursing practice. 7 credit hours.
