This course applies knowledge of binary logic and circuits to elements, diagnostic procedures, and methods of operating and repairing microprocessor-based home and automated industrial equipment. Laboratory components include using personal computers and development systems to create microcontroller applications. An introduction to the architecture of the IBM 80x86 architecture is provided, and methods of assembly upgrading and maintaining PCs are presented. Prerequisites: ET103Technical Electronics, ET235 Digital Logic.
