3 credits This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of health attitudes and behavior within the contexts of sociological, psychological, and biological systems. The use of behavior change theories as a basis for the development of behavior change intervention programs will be explored. Consideration is given to social, interpersonal, and individual factors that influence health behavior and status.
