Topics include fire service terminology; duties and responsibilities of firefighters; an introduction to fire service equipment, its uses, organization, and functions; and the responsibilities of fire service agencies in government agencies and the private sector. Employment and promotional opportunities will be addressed. The course will provide preparation for the FDNY written, open, competitive examination. PREREQUISITES: NONE
