This course, a requirement of the Basic Education Program, is designed to strengthen understanding of the fundamental concepts of mathematics. Emphasis is placed on helping students identify and develop problem-solving strategies and study techniques relative to mathematics literacy. Students improve their mathematical skills through a program of contentintegrated class instruction, skill tutorials and computer-assisted instruction within a framework of classroom and math lab support.
