Prerequisites: Students must have satisfied all MAT, ENG and RDG remediation requirements prior to starting the course. This course is designed to provide the student with a comprehensive introduction to microcomputers. Topics include fundamental concepts, hardware components, software products, and trends in computing. Issues related to the impact computers have on society and current changes in technology are also discussed. Students will receive hands-on instruction in popular software applications.
