This is an introductory course designed to involve the non-science oriented student in an investigation of some of the basic concepts and processes of science. There will be an introduction to measurement and information gathering techniques used by scientists, along with an examination of basic principles of phenomena such as motion, gravity, energy, and heat. Laboratory experiments will enable the students to investigate scientific principles as they apply to the world. (3 lecture, 3 laboratory hours) Lab fee applies. SUNY GEN ED-GLAB; NCC GEN ED-LSCI
