This course is designed to help speakers of other languages learn to navigate college-level English language textbooks. Students will be introduced to strategies to help them identify main and sub-points in a text, how to use a text to test-taking purposes, and how to read charts and graphs. Special attention will be paid to pronunciation and comprehension of vocabulary. Materials used in the class will be drawn from across disciplines Prerequisite: LOEP Placement Test. For ESOL students only.
