This course provides students with the skills needed to perform public information duties as they relate to emergency management. The course focuses on the definition of the job of the public information officer. The course assists participants with building the skills needed for this position, such as oral and written communication, understanding and working with the media and the basic tools and techniques PIOs need to do the job. Prerequisite: Open to EMG students only or Permission of Instructor.
