This course is designed to familiarize the student with coding and classification systems used in health information management. Emphasis will be on outpatient coding, classification, and reimbursement systems including CPT, HCPCS, APG,s, and RBRVS. Students will become familiar with both manual and automated systems. Prerequisites: HIT 101, BIO 107 or Permission of Instructor.
