This course presents the student with information and tools to use when applying the nursing process to meet the health care needs of the elderly client. Aspects of normal aging and the impact of age-related changes on the able elderly and the dependent elderly are discussed. Assessment guides for physiological and psychosocial functioning are provided, and nursing interventions for health problems are discussed. Prerequisite: NUR 220 Co-requisite: NUR 240.
