The understanding of the concepts of illness provides a base for the students to learn the skills in this course directed toward mediating the impact of illness and hospitalization on children and their families. The concepts of the nursing process are expanded to enable the student to document the planned and implemented care that will meet the needs of patients and their families throughout the course of and illness. Nursing strategies for specific physiologic alterations will be included. Prerequisite: NUR 220 Co-requisite: NUR 240.
