NUR 260 introduces the concepts essential for applying Level 4 theory in the clinical setting. The course material explores the discipline of nursing including historical perspectives; educational, ethical and legal issues; health care delivery and nursing roles; application of nursing process in the management of client care; and professional trends and issues. Demonstration of application of these concepts in the clinical setting in the roles of provider of care, manager of care, and member within the discipline of nursing is a requirement of NUR 260. Prerequisite: BIO 171, BIO 172 and NUR 240.
