This is the first course in a four-course sequence. Topics include the techniques, principles and terminology of Voice Communications, public and private telecommunications networks; telecommunications equipment; switching, multiplexing, modulation and transmission technology. Four hours of integrated lecture/laboratory enrvironment. Prerequisite: ELT 131. Co-requisite: ELT 141 or ELT 131 or Permission of Instructor.
