This course provides students with opportunities to develop, lead, organize, and evaluate, recreational games and activities for elementary to middle school aged participants. Behavior management strategies are emphasized as they apply to the developmental stages of the population being served. Students are required to compose lesson plans with outcome objectives and develop safety plans based on risk assessment. On and off campus experiences in leadership are required. Pre-requisite: Recreation Majors, Physical Education and Exercise Science majors or Permission of Instructor.
