Description:

A liberal arts mathematics survey course. MAT 113 and MAT 114 are independent courses and may be taken in any order, even simultaneously, if desired. Topics are drawn from the areas of linear programming, network theory, game theory, geometry, matrices, topology, patterns of mathematics, and growth and form. Prerequisite: C- or better in MAT 102 or math placement test This course is not recommended for students who desire to progress towards the study of calculus. MAT 114 does not fulfill the 6-8 credits in math required in the A.S. degree.
