A developmental, compensatory program in writing, employing one-on-one tutoring and emphasizing tasks, feedback, mastery, and transfer. Focus includes both prerequisite skills and more complex skills taught formally in other English courses. Students may enroll only through the Writing Skills Center. Equivalent credit is determined by the professional staff, subject to the approval of the Writing Skills Center coordinator. Students may work progressively to build a variety of skills over several semesters, but are limited to a total of 6 equivalent credits during the course of their studies at Onondaga Community College.
