Designed for students who need a review of arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions, mixed numbers and decimals. Areas and volumes of geometric figures are investigated. The course is both intended to alleviate mathematics anxiety and avoidance and to develop self-confidence to continue study in mathematics. Prerequisite: math placement test *not applicable to associate degrees, or certificate programs
