This course focuses on the role transition of student to staff nurse. The student will work with a registered nurse preceptor and faculty members as part of a health care team. Emphasis will be placed on the duties and responsibilities of the beginning staff nurse in planning, prioritizing, coordinating and implementing client care activities. The objectives will include increased skill in applying the nursing process, as well as an increased ability to evaluate selfperformance and heightened levels of self-confidence. Prerequisite: NUR 101, NUR 102, NUR 201, NUR 202
