Course includes a review of philosophy behind perceptual-motor theory, an introduction to theorists in the field, discussion of the areas of concern (i.e. body image, laterality) and application of screening devices. Main emphasis of the course will be on activities to use in the classroom with all children, especially those who are weak in certain perceptual areas. The use of homemade materials will be presented. Class members will participate in creation of games, activities, and materials during the sessions, and each will be responsible for completing an individual project. 1 credit (1 lecture hour), fall or spring semester
