This course engages the learner in exploring the conceptual theories and models for professional nursing practice with a focus on historical and societal influences. The course is organized around the core concepts of the BS nursing program: Patient-Centered Care; Evidence-Based Practice; Nursing Informatics; Leadership; and Professionalism. Integration of knowledge will be demonstrated through a service learning project. This course is offered on campus, with web-based enhancements. Prerequisite: NURS 300 3 credits (3 lecture hours) fall and spring
