Prerequisite: ENGL 0111 or placement test This course focuses on the development of strategic college reading skills with an emphasis on diverse approaches to reading assignments. Students will learn how to select and modify reading strategies to improve comprehension and retention. Students will apply critical reading and content analysis skills to textbook materials from a wide range of college-level courses. Credits in this course will not satisfy any certificate or degree requirement. The course grade will be Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. (3 contact hours: 1 lecture, 2 lab)
