Prerequisite: permission of instructor and, Internet Programming Concentration: ITCS 2010, ITCS 2105, ITCS 2140, ITCS 2820, ITDB 1400, ITIS 1108, ITIS 1115, ITIS 1130; or Web Content Developer Concentration: BUSM 2550, ITCS 1810 or ITCS 1820, ITCS 2010, ITCS 2120, ITIS 1108, ITIS 1115, ITIS 1120, ITIS 1130, PHOT 2350 This course serves as the capstone to both the Internet Programming Concentration and the Web Content Developer Concentration by providing students with practical experience that integrates previously studied skills and concepts within their respective programs. Students will work independently using previously mastered techniques from all prerequisite courses along with other current industry programming practices to research, design, develop, and implement an Internet/Intranet business related application. Topics include budgeting, project scheduling/monitoring/execution, and documentation of the finished project from both a systems and an end-user perspective. The course culminates in a formal presentation in which students will demonstrate both the project and all associated documentation. Students will also utilize effective Web design techniques studied in previous courses and use resources from previous courses as reference material. (8 contact hours: 2 lecture, 6 lab)
