This course provides an overview of microcomputer concepts and introductory training in the use of microcomputer hardware and software. It includes the fundamentals of using operating system and productivity software as well as Internet tools and services. Either ITIS 1005 Computers and Information Processing or ITIS 1000 serves as a prerequisite for other microcomputer courses. Students who have taken ITIS 1005 should not take this course. (2 contact hours: 0.5 lecture, 1.5 lab)
