Provides the historical foundation of the victims' movement, the establishment of the Victims of Crime Act, services provided by various victims' organizations and consequences of victimization to society. An overview of who in society is most likely to become a victim of crime, why some individuals are repeatedly victimized, the relation between victims and offenders, violence and victimization and the geography of victimization will also be studied.
