This course covers the physical and chemical properties, structures, formulas and uses of materials commonly used in contemporary dental practice. Introduces the use and manipulation of materials. Laboratory sessions provide opportunities for skill development and correct use of dental materials with an emphasis on safety and infection control. Concepts of four-handed dentistry are introduced.
