Description:
The response of the living organism to drugs is studied with particular emphasis on drugs used in dentistry. This course will cover the general principles of pharmacology and will include definitions, classifications, federal regulations and enforcement policies, drug actions and reactions, and fundamentals of prescription writing. Additionally, ethical dilemmas and principles as they pertain to drugs in dental practice will be explored throughout the course.
