PE 491 - Coaching Internship

Description:
The student is placed in a secondary school, college, or professional sport setting to gain coaching experience consistent with his/her field of study. The student will have a faculty sponsor as well as an approved site supervisor (coach) to direct and supervise the students activities. A student is expected to complete 125 internship hours to earn three semester hours of credit, or 250 hours for six semester hours of credit. Internships require senior status and a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Exceptions to this requirement require permission of the Department Chair. Credit, 3-6 hours.
