GER: TA (Critical, Analytical Interpretation of Texts) amd WC (World Cultures) The development of literature in China from its beginnings to the modern period. Through study of representative works in English translation, the course offers an overview of Chinese literature and examines the role of culture and society. Satisfies the pre-fall 2008 asian-african requirement and helps satisfy the pre-fall 2008 general education requirement in humanities (literature) or may satisfy the pre-fall 2008 general education requirement in upper-level humanities. 4 credits.
