GER: NW (Empirical Study of the Natural World) Prerequisite: HES-101, BIO-118 and MTH-110, 141 or 150 Study of living systems in motion. Structured around classic mechanics. Evaluating human motion by the methods of kinematics and kinetics. Topics include: the work-energy theorem, Archimedes' principle, Bernoulli's law and othersthat govern human motion. Laboratory exercises developed to bridge the gap between lecture materials and real world applications. 4 credits.
