The course reviews basic electricity using phasor diagram to solve circuits with resistance, inductance and capacitance. Computer software is applied to solve basic electronic circuits. Theory of transformers is discussed by the open circuit test, short circuit test, voltage regulation, polarity test, delta and Y connections. Theory of motors and generators are reviewed. The application of single-phase AC motors, three phase motors, DC motors and the related controls are discussed. Pre-requisite: MT125 or MT121, or permission of the instructor. S (N)
