ML 629 - Clinical Rotation Phlebotomy

This off-campus course provides the opportunity to gain practical experience in the collection of clinical samples at designated clinical sites. Emphasis is placed on actual performance of procedures using techniques and skills learned during the on-campus aspect of this course. Students are supervised and instructed at the clinical sites by clinical faculty. They must successfully interact with patients, health care professionals, exhibit professional and ethical behavior and complete the rotation in order to complete the course requirements and the on-campus course (ML 628). Co-requisite: ML 628. Prerequisite: ML 611 or MA 555 or equivalent or with permission of instructor. Completion of health form and updated PPD within the year is required.
