This course is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software, specifically Mastercam. Manufacturing/machining processes will be applied to that geometry along with tools, speeds and feeds for tool path simulation and verification. Students will ultimately be able to create a computer aided design (CAD) drawing, simulate the machining of a three dimensional model and generate CNC code to machine an actual part. Prerequisite: IT 102 or IT 103 or permission of the instructor.
