This course covers the specific pathophysiology, assessment and management of the respiratory and cardiac systems. Topics include obstructive airway diseases, mechanical and pharmacological airway management, dysrhythmia analysis, myocardial infarction, heart failure and vascular disorders and 12 Lead EKG recognition. Upon successful completion of this course and the required co-requisite EG 108, the student will receive the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate. Prerequisites: Basic EMT, Math and English pretest codes of MTLV 2 or higher and WRLV3 and RELV3 or better. Co-registration in EG 105 and EG 110 is required. F (S)
