The Advanced Incident Command System course is designed to increase the participants' knowledge and understanding of the inherent flexibility of the Incident Command System to manage major or complex incidents. Utilizing lectures and small group activities, participants will acquire the ability to organize and manage major or complex incidents. The material covered during the course includes command and general staff duties and responsibilities, unified command, major incident management and area command structures. Prerequisite: ER 262.
