Presents a topic or theme developed by faculty in different disciplines. Students approach the topic using various tools, methods, and skills from more than one disciplinary perspective. Course fosters appreciation of varying and often differing approaches to the same issue. Students enlarge their own perspectives; learn to think in more creative, original, and unconventional ways; practice synthesizing and integrating widely varying materials; and become more sensitive to disciplinary, political, and other biases.
